Welcome

Welcome to the Lent Blog of Churches in Chorlton. We are a group of Christian churches who minister to the people in Chorlton. More than thirty members of our churches have contributed to this Lent Reflections Blog. Throughout Lent we will post a new reflection on two verses (an Old Testament verse and a loosely linked New Testament verse). These verses are taken from the Moravian Church’s Daily Text or “Losungen” which provide a couple of Bible verses for every day of the year. These collections have been published annually since 1731 by the Moravian Church (Unitas Fratrum) founded in what is today the Czech Republic. We hope this will be a useful tool for reflection as we journey together to the cross and the empty tomb.
